Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy describes how Son Loc Cao, an independent game developer in Vietnam publishing as Sherlock Cao ("we", "us"), collects, uses, and shares information when you use the Gravity Spin mobile app ("the App").
Information we collect
Gravity Spin does not directly collect any personally identifiable information (PII) such as your name, email, or location. The App has no accounts and no sign-in, and it has no in-app purchases, so it never handles payment details.
The App stores the following data locally on your device only:
- Your progress (the highest level you have unlocked) and the best star rating you have earned on each level
- Your coin balance
- Sound, music and haptics (vibration) settings
- Whether ads have been removed with the REMOVE ADS option, and whether you have finished the tutorial
We do not run any server and do not receive this data. The App makes no network requests of its own; the only data that leaves your device is sent by the Google services described below. Some gameplay numbers, such as the level number, the moves used and the stars earned, are included in the usage events sent to Firebase Analytics (see "Third-party services"); these events do not include your name or any account.
Third-party services
The App integrates Google AdMob to serve advertisements (a banner, full-screen ads shown after some completed levels, and optional rewarded ads that you choose to watch), and Google Firebase Analytics to understand aggregate usage. After REMOVE ADS is used, the banner and full-screen ads are no longer shown, but the optional rewarded ads stay available, so Google AdMob still runs in the App. These services may collect:
- Device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID, or resettable app-scoped identifiers on iOS)
- IP address, which Google uses to estimate your approximate location (country or region level)
- App usage events (such as levels started, won or failed, moves used, stars earned, hints used, rewarded ads watched, or which ads were viewed)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- Diagnostic information (such as app and ad performance)
This data is used to serve and measure ads, to prevent fraud, and to understand how the App is used. Google may share data with its advertising partners as described in its policies. Google's privacy practices are described at policies.google.com/privacy, and how Google uses data from apps that use its services is described at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use our services.
On iOS, the App does not ask for permission to track you across other companies' apps and websites, so the Identifier for Advertisers (IDFA) is not available to the App or to Google (iOS returns only zeros). Ads are served without cross-app tracking.
On Android, you can reset or delete your advertising ID under Settings → Privacy → Ads (on some devices Settings → Google → Ads). Menu names vary by device and Android version.
Data retention and deletion
Data the App stores on your device stays there until you clear the App's data or uninstall the App, which deletes it from the device. If backup is turned on for your Android device, Android may include this data in your own device backup in your Google account; we have no access to that backup. We keep no copy on any server. Google keeps the data it collects through AdMob and Firebase Analytics under its own retention rules; Firebase Analytics event data for the App is kept for no longer than 14 months. We cannot identify you from this data, so we cannot look it up by your name or email. To stop new data being linked to your device, reset or delete your advertising ID (see above) or uninstall the App. For any privacy request, email support@sherlockcao.com and we will reply within 30 days.
Security
The App sends no data to our own servers. Data collected by Google's SDKs is sent to Google over encrypted connections (TLS).
Children's privacy
The App is intended for users aged 13 and older and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child under 13 has used the App, contact us and we will help you remove the App's data.
